BRIEF HISTORY
CHRIS   VINCE  TONY  MIKE
REAL CALIFORNIA HARDCORE PUNK ROCK !

Some Bands bloom overnight becoming one hit wonders
or a mere flash in the pan. Sadboy Sinister is not one of those
bands. Originally formed in January 1990 under the name
Sinister Minister, band creators Tony Doporto (vocals) and
Mike Hubbs (Bass) worked hard to get the band rolling.
Sinister Minister Started as a 3 piece, "3 chord thrash" punk
band, Mike on Drums, Tony on bass and vocals, and Chuck
Speitz on guitar. Legal problems brought a name change and
a line up change. Come to find that these type of problems
would haunt the band in years to come. Changes came,
and added to the line up were Shaun Bealy (Guitar) and Craig
Fox on drums in 91' making the band complete. Sadboy Sinister
recorded the self titled debut 9 song cassette also known as
Crooked as Fuck, at House Of Faith in Palo Alto, with the expertise
of Bart Thurber. S.B.S hit the club circuit. Making the Cactus
Club and One step beyond second nature to the band room.
Recording again in 1994 with Mikey Martinez on Drums
(Brownies, Willies Conception) Sad boy Sinister exploded on the
scene with 4 never released trax. In 95 Vince De leon took over on
Guitar, and Chris Brooks took over on Drums. Then Followed a very
busy 96 California Calendar, Booked by Joe Acosta R.I.P productions
and Tony D. SBS  . In  1997 Sadboy Sinister went back to the
studio. The recordings were self produced and released only on cassette
under the title S.B.S South Bay Hardcore. By this time the SBS
crew had been through 7 drummers, 4 that played live and 3 that
recorded. SBS had also been through 7 guitarist, 4 that played live ,
3 that recorded, and 3 that never cut the  mustard .Tony and Mike
remained the only originals. Like any other band, so it's said
Drugs, Violence, and incarceration plagued Sadboy, making
the road  to present  long hard and painful. In 1999 with helpful
connections from Stikmon's Big Ass International, SBS went to
Europe. The US never saw the release of the Euro Cuts sessions
which were done on a tight budget and schedule. Recorded in
the SBS rehearsal studio, with added trax and mixing done at the
home of a friend (Matt Overman) "RFN RECORDING". The
European itinerary had many English, Spanish, and German
dates that were canceled. The fact that they ever existed was in
question to the band, none the less SBS had many dates in the
Czech and Slovak Republics and also in France. The Band is quick
to point out that they had a blast and success. Upon arrival in
the US Mike was remanded at a Felony court hearing and held in
Lock Down, then released to the E.M.P. program for 6 months.
Meanwhile in an unrelated Felony case Tony was sentenced to
a two year term in which he would serve a year. This was a major
setback, shutting down the band for more than a year. 17 songs
were recorded at House of Faith in Oakland Ca. with Bart Thurber
(before hand) and were sat on. These recordings were to be the
"Life and Death" recordings, mastered in Campbell Ca. at Final Mix
studios with Steve Glaze. SBS played the Hells Angels / Top Hatters
"May Madness" in 2000 and 2001,but has yet to have played since.
With all the bad behind them, they are now in their Final Fighting
stance, setting their goals high. Better than ever SBS is taking on any
and all coming gigs and opportunities. Soon to be performing and
recording again, With plans of touring  state side and
abroad.  With past members ranging from the talents of the
Brownies,Track Star, Willies Conception, S.J'S Loaded,
Slip and Uncle Lucifer, Sadboy Sinister has proven to stand the
test of time. Constantly trudging forward despite any and all obsticals
or setbacks SBS looks ahead and is not looking back." This shit is
fun to us.We're out to be heard and spread our word. . Lifes hard and
fast so be strong and stand up,there are no victims here. There are many
good times to be had. Lets  Kick Ass . SUCCESS IS EMINENT.
